Congratulations to our portfolio company Unstoppable Domains on their latest funding round, which puts their valuation to $1 billion, and gives it unicorn 🦄 status!
The team raised $65 million, attracting prominent VCs including Pantera Capital (leading the round), Alchemy Ventures, OKG Investments, and Polygon alongside previous investors Boost VC and Draper Associates.
The team launched the project in 2018 to provide an infrastructure that empowers people by giving them control of their data. More specifically, NFT domains, which live in public blockchains, allow users to own their data and make it portable across web3. Endings in .nft, .wallet and .crypto, Unstoppable Domains can also replace lengthy wallet addresses. Unlike traditional ones based on a subscription model (yearly), Unstoppable Domains require a one-time fee starting from only $5.
